First Song - Original

This is the first recording I've "finished" since getting GTP4 in late November.

I realize I still have a lot to learn about recording, but I wanted to share this and get some feedback. Thanks

It's called Jefferson Death Trooper

Well, Mike, your recording chops are well oiled.  Your playing and mixing skills are very good.  This song would be a hit with some good lyrics and vocals.  Your mastering skill are good, too.  The mix is very robust and full of energy.  If you do manage to write vocals for this song, I would like to hear the final version.

    All the best,
    Lynn

Bear in mind everything I say is a "taste thing".

The drum intro is very cool but then when everything comes in the drums lose it.

The guitar tone is good.  Lead guitar seems about 1db too loud to me.

Bass guitar could use some definition (ya a bass player would say that ) and the kick could use some beater smack to it.

Now, as a "first song" I'd say excellent job.

The guitar is just using Guitar Rig 3. I just took one of their stock pre-settings, and modified it slightly.
