Difficult to read ProChannel EQ values? Check Quad EQ mod..
Black Label Quad EQ Add-On Mod Now I can read slope numbers without magnifying glass. :-) I also like the simple background; there is so much information in small area that I found all extra pixels were just disturbing... Tomorrow I probably hate it but this is the hosest first version! Black Label Quad EQ Mods and the original Two versions available now: with two-color and white labels. I hope at least Keni will like this... EDIT: Subject changed and added reference image of the original :-)

I'm not generally bothered about colour customisation, but that is really good.

Wow! Panu you have really done a beautiful job on this mod! My eyes aren't feeling strained and I can read the numbers! Fabulous! Not only can I read them, but the device looks so much more attractive (to me)... ...and I get a kick out of the Hz and Gain labels using two colors! ;-) I believe many people are really gonna love this one! Bakers! Take Note! ;-) Thanks Many time over for your work and generosity Panu! Keni

Gorgeous! It is much cleaner than the default UI and easier to read. I tried a few of your full-on mods for Sonar last night and am enjoying your color choices. Very clean. :-)

Wow! I had no idea those little switches were for the Hi/Low EQ shelf/bell curves. Doh!

It makes me wonder - not blaming what kind of displays do (you) CW's graphics designers use. If you can read 6 text with font size 6 pixels, you have either huge screens, low display resolution, perfect visibility or all of them. I can barely read 6 pixels font on 22" FullHD and I have perfect vision. Normal displays are not super sharp AMOLEDs with superb contrast. Little details get easily blurred if cable between PC and display is analog. In my opinion under 10 px fonts should be avoided by all means because SONAR is used in so many computers with various displays but also people may have difficulties to read small texts. Just my 5 cc...:-)

I've never really felt the need for any mods before, but I'm so glad I saw this. I was really struggling trying to read the EQ settings with the Quad EQ upgrade. Grabbed your mod and it's so much better. Thanks for doing this and thanks for sharing it.

Here are the Black Label Quad EQ Previews. One of three is the original. In version 3 I shrink SLOPE text few pixels. Also new HP, GLOSS and LP buttons are included in next Black Label and Dark Side.

Along with the mod memorize this and you are good to go:----------------------------------------------------- G Type - vocals and acoustic guitars---------------------------------- E Type - surgical (notching out unwanted noise or freqs)------------------------------------------------- Pure - busses and master----------------------------------------------- Hybrid - drums and percussion

Very surprised they chose to go with such a difficult to read layout. I can't imagine that NO ONE @ Cakewalk noticed how difficult it is to read those numbers.

It seems almost bizarre they ended up with such hard to read |GUI. I'm not using this EQ much because of that. A shame they didn't put just a little more effort into this as Panup has done. Maybe next 'fix'?

It depends on how you have you're monitor set up. I have mine set to 1920 x 1080 Native Resolution at 59Hz/32bit and I can see the numbers crystal clear. I set it to 60Hz/32bit and they are all fuzzy and I can't read them. It's a matter of how you have your monitor set up, and it's capabilities. Cheaper monitors have less options in regards to set up. You have to set it up like you would a flat screen TV. It takes some time to do. I find it much easier to do with Nvidia cards/drivers than ATI. Plus, you can create custom screen setups that apply settings automatically to the specific program you assign them to with Nvidia. Not sure if you can do that with ATI.
