Mackie And Sonar

Hi,
I'm just about to buy a new Mackie ProFX 8 channel mixer with fx, just for myself
guitar, bass, keys and vox. Is this a decent mixer for the price £156 ($250) as in reliable,
does anyone have one ? And is it OK to use with Sonar ?
