Sonar X1 LE effects

Hi to everyone,
i'm writing you because just few day ago i had bought a roland quad capture sound card that was combined with the sonar x1 le and i don't understand how i must do to apply the live effects! If i try to put the live effects i can ear a terrible latency!
Can anyone help me?
