All tracks play when I use my MIDI keyboard.

I've used Sonar 8.5 for a while and recently upgraded to X1. After plugging in my Alesis Q49 MIDI keyboard controller and setting up my audio configuration, I can't seem to play the keyboard for one track specifically. Sonar apparently picks up the input on all tracks.

I'm completely inexperienced, so anyone who knows what the matter might be, assume I know very little before you suggest a solution.

Many thanks!

You probably have echo input enabled on all tracks, it's the blue coloured button to the right of the record button on MIDI tracks. Switch it off on all tracks except the one you want to respond.

Yeah, that was the problem. I should probably stop pressing buttons when I don't know what they do. Thanks again :/

It's a great way to learn. I've spent my life doing it. I gave up as a jet pilot when I pressed the one that said 'Eject'.
