Recording an audio track from another audio track..

A bit of a beginner question here..

I have a vocal track with the Melodyne plugin on it.. correcting the pitch issues, and I open a new audio track, solo the Vocal track so I can record it corrected to the new audio track, and cant get a signal on the new audio track.  I have only a master bus in this project.. and have looked at routing it to the new audio track but it does not work.  Idea's?

I am using Sonar X1d

Bounce to Tracks' or Bounce to Clip?
Not sure about rendering with Melodyne to 'Clip, but I'd tend to go to 'Tracks as it makes a new one, keeps the original in place.

If I Freeze the track or Copy the track, the pitch corrections from Melodyne don't carry over.
There must be a way to route the Vocal track to another audio track...

You don't need to... Just "bounce to track", effectively recording the output of the bounced track to a fresh one.

Yes it is a simple move "Bounce to Track" the fixed track will be the track after the bounce .....
