just search Act in the help files while in sonar. It is a SONAR exclusive system for controlling sonar and plug ins that you are focusing on while in sonar- I think there is a preset for the M-audi rigs, at least some of them- I have found it t look hard to figure out, but some people like it- Lance

I will be first  but there are others that can really get deep with this.
ACT will let you use your midi controller (whether a keyboard or mixing boards that can talk to your PC) to interact with Sonor just as if you were using your mouse.  So you can program your midi keyboard to takeover many functions within Sonar like transport controls, opening menus, using the mixing console (faders on your keyboard could control faders in console view), and other things like that.

You should read up on this in your Cakewalk user manual and also look for some YouTube and Cakewalk videos on this subject.

Lots of midi controllers/keyboards have knobs, sliders and transport controls and these can be linked to Sonar and its plug-ins and you can control everything via your keyboard. Using ACT is how you set it up. It can be tedious in some cases. There are a number of videos including M-Audio ones - http://www.youtube.com/re...9l0l0l0l0l73l614l9l9l0
