How to transpose a song? (RESOLVED)

I have a song that needs to be transposed. Is there a reccommended way to do this? I have tried the Pitch FX included in the cakewalks FX and V-Vocal. The problem with the Cakewalk Pitch FX is that it sometimes skips parts of the songs not sure why. The problem with V-vocal is that it can't catch some parts of the song pitches and so therfore making parts of the song go a different pitch.

Thanks!

rerecord it.  that's the only way you're going to get satisfactory results for transposing an entire song unless you're working with MIDI only.

It's not my song. It's a song that I found on the net. So re recording is impossible.

I'll check out that site thanks.

there are some free pitch changers that work mostly with MP3's..... BUT, the results will vary.
