Hi i am trying to import some video files into Sonar X1 Producer 64 Bit but keep getting format not supported errors.

daly, what format(s) are you currently trying to import? Sonar's support of various codecs is somewhat limited. I tend to use simple lo-res wmvs since Sonar is simply not designed for advan ced video editing, encoding and decoding. My wmv is simply a proxy for timing purposes. I export my stereo mix to my video editing program to create final version. What you may be running into if you are using quicktime or .avi filed is likely codec related. All .avi's and .mov files are not created equal. Huge difference between an mov file encoded with pro-res codec and h.264. If you did not encode the original .mov or .avi yourself, chances are you don't know what is inside that file unless you took the time to use a program like g-spot to identify the codec. I suggest running the files in question through a converter and turning them into wmvs
