X1 and Yamaha 02R96 as the Control Surface

Is anyone getting any control functions in X1 with the Yamaha 02R?
Just the transport section would be great.
Yamaha tech support says to use HUI Emulation, but Cake does not support that.
I found an old 01v control plug here, but its for Sonar 2 and of course the 01v.
All the threads I've found on the forum lead to a dead end; basically hit and miss results.
Several suggestions to use the Cakewalk Generic Controller or ACT; both are 1 way meaning board to X1 only.
I'm going to try to get transport control using ACT.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Noticed that Matt on this thread has the same device and same issue.

    StudioCat > I use Windows 10 and Sonar Platinum. I have a touch screen.
    I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

    I fixed mine... sort of... at least play/stop works.  Funny I was coming back to this thread to bump it just in case but here it's already been bumped.  See solution in the other thread.
