Solid State Hard Drives...snake oil?

After hearing all the hoopla about the quickness, quietness and stability of SSD's, while also having problems with crackling audio in Sonar, I took the plunge and picked up a couple of SSD drives...one to use for recording music and the other for storing sound libraries (drums, mainly). The drives seemed to take OK, no problems with installation or formatting, but now the audio crackles even a little bit MORE, not less! I'm wondering if anyone has had similar disillusions with these "wonderful" SSD's??

Crackling audio is not a result of hard drives. Any decent 7200rpm drive is more than acceptable for daw use. It usually means you have a conflict elsewhere.

Not what I wanted to hear, Bonzo, but I'm sure you are right! Thanks for the input...
