Korea pop song produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered in SONAR X1
We made a cover of a Korean pop song for a cover contest! The entire song was made using SONAR X1 Producer Expanded, including sound creation, recording, mixing, and even the mastering process. The video was not made in SONAR X1. I know there is a "Songs" forum here to post these things, but I wanted to post it here to show off the power of SONAR X1 Producer Expanded and all of its tools that were used for this song. The Concrete Limiter was used as the final master brickwall limiter, and it did an awesome job. Hope you enjoy, and any feedback is welcome! This "clicky on the tinyurl link for an automatic vote" is not going to be very popular around here. But I've been wrong before. My official "clickster" is not on duty right now so I'll pass, but I'll have a listen to your song on youtube. And you're right, the "Songs" forum is more appropriate for listens. Good luck!

The mix sounded very polished. The kick seems a bit heavy but that's nitpicking and likely a good thing for pop music.

Sounded clean and pleasant,very nice. I see a Steinway piano,but the mics the vocalists were pictured with in the video, look like the very pleasantly priced Audio Technica AT 2020? Tell me you used such cheap mics and I'll vote again!!!

Actually, all of the recordings WERE done using the AT 2020 mic! And yes, that is certainly a Steinway piano. The piano in the song is actually from Dimension pro, so the Steinway in the video was just for show... But oh well haha. All of the vocals were recorded with the AT2020 though.

Haha yes, the AT2020 is surprisingly pretty good. Of course it is a budget mic, but the recorded sound is rather clear and warm for a budget mic
