UPPER OCTAVE not remembered, Midi channel not remembered.

Can anyone tell me if this is how the a300pro is meant to operate: 1. I select "UPPER" and then +Octave then the red light is on. Then I select "LOWER". Then "UPPER" again and it hasn't remembered the +1 Octave and the light is off. Lower/Split and Dual all "remember" the octave... is this right? 2. If I change the Midi Channel of upper or lower, then that isn't remembered if I move between Lower and Upper. If I do a factory reset then the midi channel is on CH2 for lower and CH1 for upper. But as soon as I change the midi channel on either upper or lower they both end up on CH1 from then onwards as they are selected. Can't se how to fix these points in the manual and it feels like it's not working right. This happens even Any help greatly appreacted, 6 hours now trying to figure this out. Regards David
