NastyCS problems

This plug is now in legacy status - so just checking if anyone else is experiencing crashes? After several tries and reboots, it keeps crashing x1 when I drag it into the fx bin.

Thoughts?

I used to have crashes with some Nastys VSTs. The ones I tested I couldn't make to work so I ignored the rest.

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.

I tried them all today and everyone of them worked except nastycs. Which btw is one of the better ones according to some folks. I was wanting to try for myself...

The original 'Nasty' series has bitten the dust as you've already stated.

Bootsy's plugs are made with SynthMaker (the frameworks that is, the algo's are all optimized assembler doodads) and the old ones were about before Windows 7 they still work just fine under XP dontcha know, just like they always did  Although why you would want to run the old stuff he's even made a point of removing from the download list I do not know.

The newer stuff is compiled in newer versions of SM and all work fine.

Go get yourself NastyVCS which supercedes most of the old Nasty series in one hit and then some, especially as it's the channel strip you're after.

All the stuff you CAN download works and there ain't a bum one among 'em.

My trusty ol' Stylophone packed up in the 90's and although I did so reluctantly I had to move on.

Thanks Jon - I have all of his vsts and like them for the most part. Especially FerricTDS and I like BootEQmkII a lot. And then there is Rescue. :) Okay, I like them all, just didn't use nastycs and after catching some good comments about it here and there, I decided to load it and found out, it crashed.

Not a biggie, thanks for helping. DM

LOL, now they've been taken down everyone is probably raving about the 'vintage' quality of them and going hunting them down....

Save them, in 10 years time you'll be able to get $200 each for them when people are looking for that 'golden age' mid 2000's sound.

We're a crazy bunch and no mistake...

Sounds like it's worthwhile to re-evaluate those...
It's several years back when I tested them.
