monotown from Analogue Drums

From the "you can't ever have too many drum samples" department: Analogue Drums has released Monotown, a vintage Rogers kit, sampled in mono and inspired by classic Motown. It's for full Kontakt, version 3 and higher.

As with their other products, it's quality and it's cheap - $39. While you're visiting the site, grab a copy of the free BIGMono kit. I actually use this kit, probably the only drum freebie I can say that about.

I also recommend you check out Splitsticks, a great minimal kit for lighter fare and a bargain at $15.

And if you're looking for something heavier, check  out their new Gorilla product. I was never a big fan of 80's gated reverb and didn't expect to like this library, but listening to the demos I was greatly surprised at how much I liked the sound.

Was the Rogers kit pre or post Roland?

Well, it was made in the 1970's. I don't think Roland was in the drum business yet at that time.

I was thinking about the organs and incorrectly associated them with the drums.

    Please disregard.

Dang you Dave. I thought I had all the drums I needed. Then I go to their site and I see TS2 for $99.

Don't you already have BFD2? There's a great Rogers kit that came with it and the best thing about it
is you don't have to use kontakts crappy mixer and engine. Also it's in stereo so you have a choice of either.
Oh yeah this one only has 8 velocity layers, not sure how many the BFD2 one has but they are up to 128.
Sounds nice in the demo though I must say.

Oh yeah... I'm all over that for 100 skins... demos sound pretty good, lots of variety, nice snares.
