I use it quite a lot. Of course I'm always looking for new or interesting textures and sounds for projects. You can really get a great "Tom Waits" vibe with this kit...as you should since it was created by his main percussionist;-)

I use it in conjunction with standard kits. I've yet to use it's full capacity - just a piece or two in some projects.

Have you checked out fxpansions 8 Bit Kit it was put together by the guy who produced a few of Tom Waits's albums. After owning it for almost a year I've just this week started a very bluesy, Wait's (ish) song that I might stick up when I'm done. Steve

Hmmmmmmmmmm, I wonder which would sound the best? I got mine for £25 in one of thier sales, not sure I would have paid £85 though. Still, you get what you pay for as they say  Steve

Well the 8BitKit is uhhhmmmmmm only 8bits
And yet it still sounds better than all the others How the hell do they do it you might ask? From the FAQ Why is it called 8 Bit Kit? [top] 8 Bit Audio is the name of BFD 8BK's sound engineer, S. Husky Hoskulds, audio production company. BFD 8BK is recorded at the same 24bit, 44.1 kHz quality as all BFD-series libraries. Steve
