Just completed new CD with Cakewalk Sonar X1
Hi all, just a note to say that my band has completed and released a new CD done entirely in the box( start to finish including mastering) with SonarX1!!! After several years of working in this direction and having studied all the recording forums and pod casts, we did it. We are thrilled with Cakewalk and will continue to upgrade and use Sonar for any upcoming projects, it is very powerful and we believe that it can do anything that any other DAW software can do regardless of status quo or pricetag. You can hear clips here if you like! Sonar rocks. http://www.cdbaby.com/jimmyjunkinsandthesoulca http://www.jimmyandthesoulcats.com

Sounds good as best as I can judge on the small speakers on this computer. Should sound great on my Studio Monitors. Take care, Bob

Could you post which plugs you used for mastering?

With all due respect - I don't think this would be the wrong forum. This is a really good example of using the product - and hearing what 'out of the box' really can do. I felt I was actually in the room - when you can work magic like that, I think the best word is transparent. Great work to all of those involved slcatvip... L

Nice ---- !!!! I am a native New Englander (RI) so that was a nice shout out on your album description. Can you share any info on some of the typical set up you used - routing, etc to pull off the recording? Thanks

Great recording. The individual instruments are well defined. Nice balanced mix from song to song. Obviously, Sonar X1 and Jimmy and the Soul Cats rock!
