Assigning CC Value

Hello Forums,

Say I have a knob on my synth. I want to assign it a CC 83value to send into a sampler (Kontakt)

Can someone tell me how to do this?

    Is this a synth or a controller?  What knob?  Not sure if Kontakt has assignable controls like many newer VSTs where u can right click on the control and select 'assignable control' then move the knob on the synth.  U do have it hooked up via MIDI or USB?

    In Kontakt, go to the "Auto" tab in the browser section. It will display a list of MIDI CC assignments. Scroll down and click on CC 83 to select it. Then, simply "drag" it over to the control you want to manipulate. Pretty easy.


    All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.
