    True story this.....

I once had two pet snakes.

One called No-Arms Andrew and the other No-Legs Liberace.

I let them live on me car's windscreen.

They were very helpful when it rained.

I'd refer to them as my windscreen vipers.

Which was a bit silly, seeing as they were both 30 foot anacondas.

I remember the first snake our band got......

we did a gig at Atlantic Beach NC in some rat hole of a club. I think we had booked it for $200 which at the time for a new band was not a bad gig.  As was typical, hardly anyone came in to see us and those that did didn't stay long.

we were a country rock band.... playing LP cuts of songs like Charlie Daniels Saddle Tramp and Green Grass & High tides.... and other pretty obscure stuff. But we did have it down note for note.

The problem was..... at the time disco was THE thing... and we didn't play that crap, so we tended not to draw crowds or get second bookings in most clubs.

So at the end of the night the club manager tells us the bad news.... he didn't even make enough to pay us, but he lived close by and if we would follow him to his house he'd "make it right"..... we're thinking ...right..... so we get to his house, and he offers us $80 or so and a 100' 12ch 3 return snake in "repairable" condition. Realizing we were not going to get the full pay in spendable cash..... we walked out with little more than gas money and a snake

I mostly hear them called 'multicores', how very British to say it longhand....

I normally call them ...duh...ffsh..pah...who put that thing there!?!?!, whilst seeming to throw everything I was previously carrying across the room.

It didn't arrive today :( hope it will be there tomorrow, it would help me to have a better place for mixing live sound.

Not directly near the PA speaker(s) would be a grate improvement :)
