Even if that WAS an option, I wouldn't be able to get enough from it to move.  LOL!

    Craig,

Seriously, I'm sorry you have to sell your pride and joy.

That was unfunny insensitive of me.

Not a problem!  Joy left and took my Pride with her (guess I'll have to use 409 now).

Although I definitely didn't want to sell that guitar, it really isn't my style.  I do like my guitars to look awesome, but I'm far more concerned about functionality and that's what I'll miss the most.  I had troubles playing the darn thing with that inlay - I kept looking down and then stopping to figure out what fret I was on (instead of either trusting my hands or using the edge dots).  Most of the time I played my other custom and just stared at the one for sale - lol!

Plus, eventually, I'll have the new one (called the "Red Rocker") which will be a very light Korina wood and much easier on the back.  That wenge chunk and capped maple back make the Gaudy guitar one heavy mo fo!  Great for sustain, but not so much for my posture.

Change "keep your picks" to "keep your stash of picks" and you could get an extra couple hundred out of the sale.

Take it from an old salesman. ;-)

I think seeing the incredible quality of the raw wood, the attention to detail with his selection, and the near perfect symmetry of the wood grain puts this guitar in the 'ultra' (I just made that up) custom category.

I didn't recognize the level of detail until I viewed the step by step process.

    The thing is sizzzling.

I am very thankful it's not in my personal favorite color.

I definitely agree and, if Jeff was better known as a builder, the guitar would be selling for at least $7,000 (which is $2,000 less than what a Gibson Neal Schon model goes for - go figure).  Even a custom Pink Fender Strat with a nicer, stained, curly maple top is going for $7,000... Auction

I'm going to lose money (as seems to be the routine lately) once it sells, but at least I'll have a place to live!

Will you bill him $4800? I think Shad uses PayPal.

CraigB I'm at work so I can't check this link-hope it works.

With your guitar having the inlay I thought you'd enjoy watching this.

I've been doing a lot of reading about inlay and from what I gather this
video is giving many a reason to re-think their techniques.

LOL...and by listening it may give some reason to re-think how they adjust
    their tremelo.

Holy crap that looked like a lot of work!  It sure gives the term "painstakingly hand-made" a new meaning.

My legs are cramping just looking at their work environment, don't they have chairs?

Of course, Bapu is only wondering how to get an Am chord out of a single string instrument with a whammy!

    Thanks for the link Spacey!

Craig I'm really surprised your guitar hasn't sold yet.
Good move going to auction so maybe it'll move.
No doubt it's a very fine guitar so it must be economic issues
    for the delayed sell.
