    I brought one of the fisr Soundblaster cards, it cost $400 might have been 500, this was 1994.

    I have a Soundblaster Live! in my secondary (mobile) desktop DAW.


    I don't use it for recording - I bring my MOTU with me for that, but if I just want to play something without the MOTU connected I use the SB Live!  (with ASIO4ALL for when I want to hear something in Sonar without the MOTU!)
