exporting files HELP!!

it seems when i send the files to my friend they don't line up, he insists he's correct on his end. so this is what i need to do. can someone walk me through the exporting process, from the "correct" way to save and to where, should the tracks be .wav-MP3-windows streaming etc. also i'm using "you send it" should that be a problem? is there some kind of "time stamp" i should apply to my project. everybody is telling me the same thing that this should be no big deal but i can't for the life of me figure out what i'm doing wrong. so i need someone who has done this before to show me how to do it.
thanks so much

Broadcast Wav-files carry a time stamp. The one who imports them should have a setting for that activated (in SONAR: Import BCWavs at timestamp).

If your partner is using SONAR, you can of course send the whole project as a bundle, if you wish. It should not be a problem in YouSendIt.

Also a common way is to send the whole projects as one stereo MP3. Then your partner records the new parts and sends the exported wavs to you, and you add them to the original project.

In other words, export to a Broadcast WAV file instead of the RIFF WAV format.

To pull things together I paste here my answer to one of the threads of the same subject by this OP (he's been sending and importing files from the project audio folder):

You're totally on the "wrong tracks" (:o/) there and you have misunderstood the procedure 100%. No wonder nobody could help you and no wonder we got no answers from you concerning the export format.

You  don't send the project audio files to anyone, don't even touch them if you don't have any idea of what you're doing, you'll end up destroying your projects. You export the tracks to Broadcast wav and send those to your friend. Time to spend some time reading the manual and doing the tutorials?

Also, the way you've spread your query in three different threads (two of the same title, even) is really not clever at all. If you deliberately try to make things difficult, it may happen that people simply ignore your threads.
