Hi,guy! I have been using a 24 i/o since they released them. I started out on an HP single processor computer running XP 32 bit. I moved up to an Asus Quad with Windows 7 64 bit. When I installed the card in to the computer, all I had to do was download the 64 bit driver, install, and I am glad to say I have never had one bit of trouble. I run it in ASIO mode. I know some people will say that the 24 i/o is really getting long in tooth, but I have used this thing in commercial studio settings ever since I bought it. Everyone has their issues with the setup on their rigs. I can only speak for myself. I LOVE THIS THING! As for running with X1, I have used nothing but Cake DAWs since about 97. I don't know if I have been lucky or what but outside of using Pro Tools for some really high end projects in other studios, Cake has never let me down. X1 Expanded is in my opinion the best Cake yet! I sound like a fanboy but I can't express how happy I have been with the 24 i/o and X1. Do Check Out Other Options! Just because I am satisfied doesn't mean you will be. The ONLY downside to the 24 i/o is no phantom power and no midi. You do have wordclock but I have only used that sparingly. Again, I have been very happy with the 24 and X1!
