I have a spring like that, only a little bit longer.

It was supposed to go under a humbucking pickup, but it decided to spring into action.

I keep it somewhere behind the furniture, but I'm not exactly sure where.

In order, then, to discover the limit of deepest tones, it is necessary not only to produce very violent agitations in the air but to give these the form of simple pendular vibrations. - Hermann von Helmholtz, predicting the role of the electric bassist in 1877.

Ya.

If you decide to spring into action and end up behind the furniture, can you keep an eye out for it?

I'd prefer to spring into a recliner.

Tried action once.  Didn't like it.  I think I'd like to give Inaction a good try.

I would wait until the rest of the upholstery was finished before sitting on those
(if I was you - which, fortunately, I'm not so YMMV).
