BASS V AMP PRO EDITOR SOFTWARE HOOKUP VIA MIDI ISSUES

1. DOES anyone here know about the 'editor software' and linking my laptop to the BVAMPRO,via usb/midi cable?
2. ive made sure im connecting properly and that ive set them to the same chanels.
3. the error message reads that if thru option is active,it cant scan.to turn off 'thru active,ive been told to press the 'TAP' button,but still no luck
4. the cable's diodes flash when i turn something on UP/ROUND in the software,but  i cant get it to find the unit to control all functions via the laptop?   whats your step by step procedure?have i missed something?id appreciate any help you can give me,as im not too familiar with midi.....nice one,from ame6

I have My V amp set up and I am sure it was set from input of the audio interface with one cable then out put back to the audio interface then hit scan.
If that's not working I will rig mine up again and let you know as I only use the software to put on sounds I downloaded.

by the way,did you ever upgrade the EPROM on yours?ive bought one,but im not sure about changing it,i dont wanna invalidate the guarantee,or anything tho?,

alright,norrie?you snowed in up there?!?....sorry for delay,im havin connection sorted today,and i cant seem to be able to reply on this forum with me phone,!.....im gonna set up again this evening,but for you,when would it be convenient for you to run the setup,would it be a good idea trying to do it in REALTIME?
