X1 64 bit rewire to Reason?

Hello, I have searched for information about this and read many interesting threads but never got what I was looking for. I'm wondering if a bit bridge can be used with Sonar X1 64 bit to rewire Reason 5.1. I know (or at least it is alleged) that Reason 6 will rewire to 64 bit X1 but R5.1 is 32 bit only. So . . . bit bridge? JBridge? Something? Or will I have to return to S8.5 to use the instruments I make in Reason? I really don't want to (read 'can't) plunk down the dosh for the Reason v6 upgrade right now but I love the way Sonar 64 bit works - solved some problems I was having. Sorry if this has been discussed but I couldn't find it. Ken

You would need to use X1 32 bit in the case of Reason 5 as it is only a 32 bit app.

There is no harm in having both Sonar versions installed side by side and it takes up little space as the installed content is the same. (I'm using both versions of 8.5 here but I presume the same is still true of X1).

Even if there was a bridging solution for this way around, which there isn't, the 32 bit version of X1 would still be a better bet for this purpose.

I do have X1 32 bit installed as well as 64 bit. But the 32 bit version has problems with the sound card, or ASIO, or both. This all on a laptop so I can't simply toss in another sound card. The 64 bit version cured these problems nicely. I also have Sonar 8.5.3 installed and that's what I'm using for rewiring. It works fine but I really like X1. So, no bit bridge, eh? Guess I'll have to wait until I can upgrade Reason. (might be some time - we are remodeling our house) Thanks! Btw, this is off topic but how do you make a carriage return here? (The Forum FAQ just returns an error.)

Some browsers are not compatible with the forum software.

I use FF 3.6 but plenty of others work with it too.

Thanks again. I use FF - don't know the version, the latest update, 10 or something.
