Upgraded PC

Hi all, I'm using X1, now have a Dell Studio 9100, i7 processor 8GB ram, upgraded video, using FA-66 interface, ASIO driver.  I run the latency checker and it checks fine, should not have any issues with audio.
New project I have 1 guitar track and trying to add vocal, and before I can even get halfway through that recording it's 'buzzing', 'popping', 'jumping'...I know I should not have this problem with this set up.  I have not been able to figure out how to make the WDM driver work so I could compare that to ASIO...I've read so many threads on how to optimize Windows to up the performance, but sure am at a frustrating loss as to what to do next.  Any help...thank you!!! Also, I do not have any audio fx on master, but I do send my individual tracks to an effects buss.

Have you tried adjusting the WDM slider?
Have you installed the latest drivers for the FA66?

Sometimes ASIO works better than WDM and sometimes its the other way around. Just use the driver mode that works best for you. Its just the way it is with certain sound cards.

Also, I do not have any audio fx on master, but I do send my individual tracks to an effects buss.

Tracks go to your master bus and the master bus goes to the main outs. The master bus is where all tracks, including buses should go to.
