Wire?

There was interview with a member of Wire in Tape Op this month.

It made me realize I have never heard of this band; Wire... and I am off to learn.

Where any of you guys in it?

I'm starting with Pink Flag and don't know how far I'll get... maybe you do?

Critics loved 'em as I recall. I never saw the appeal personally, but then I do like a tune.

I'm listening now... I think I lean more towards the Gang of Four vibe.

If you like G o F, try Shriekback, a spin-off. They had some nice edgy electronica stuff going on, I bought a couple of 12'' singles way back when.
