Instrument Maps
I'm helping a novice friend setup Music Creator 5 (OK, I'll admit it, I actually a Pro Tools Pro user, but Music Creator will more than suffice the needs of my friend). I been through the manual and we have have all the basics up a running fine, however, my friend has a number of H/W instrument modules that I want to be able to set up instrument maps so that he can see all the patch names rather than just 1, 2, 3 to 127, 128 etc. The modules that he has are:
Emu Proteus 1
Emu Proteus 2
Emu Virtuoso 2000 (has 4 banks of 128 patches)
Roland Super JV-1080 (likewise has several banks of patches)
Music Creator is happily "talking" to all these modules fine.
I have searched this forum for similar strings, but have only come up with one item on the subject which relates back to 2006 and MC version 3 where it talks about editing the "master.ini" file - would I not want seperate files for each instrument ?
Thanks //Tim

MC 5 can't import Instrument Definitions at all, but MC 6 can.
Greg
I am selling my MIM Fender Stratocaster HSS, red and black. PM for more details.
Music Creator 2003, MC Pro 24, SONAR Home Studio 6 XL, SONAR X3e, CbB, Focusrite Saffire, not enough space.
Everything is better with pie.

Sorry for the short answer above, and welcome to the forum.
Do you already have the instrument definitions? If not, you may have to find a source for them or write your own.
