Sonar 8.5 Instrument Rack

Greetings,

I use an orchestral template I've created and modified over the years.  The bulk of my instruments are Mirosalv Philharmonik.  I have instruments librarys for winds, brass, percussion, strings, etc.  In the past week and half I experienced a couple of times when starting an instrument library in Sonar's synth rack, such as "percussion" that a warning  message appears that the instrument is not found.  The warning is in Italian which indicates it's from Miroslav.  I have to click "ok" 16 times for each MIDI channel of that library.  The instrument is "on" in Sonar but no instruments are loaded.  Two times I have been successful in loading my library from the drop down menu but on other occasions not so lucky.

My big question is whether or not this is a Sonar issue or Miroslav issue?

This template is rather large and I don't typically have all the instruments "on" at anyone time just to save RAM (which I'm running 12GB in a 64bit environment).  However Sonar will just stop working forcing me to close the program and restart.  This seems to be occuring more frequently these days.  I only bring this up because I'm not sure if things are related.

I have a Sweetwater Creation Station running i7 processor.

I appreciate any help you can give.

Thanks,
Richard

I may have solved my own problem after some experimentation.  The last thing I added to the system was Western Digital external hard drive as a back up to all my work.  I observed it as I was working that it seemed to respond to everything I was doing in real time meaning it was backing up my work as I was doing the work.  This included bouncing MIDI tracks to audio etc...that might explain why I was getting slower than  usual bounce times even with shorter tunes.

I turned off the drive and worked a few hours without any issues...hope this is the ticket!!
