Is it possible to mix using Software without VS20 Interface?

My friend borrowed my VS20 Interface and then moved away haha. I am wondering if it is still possible to mix using the software(computer based) without the Interface? The reason I ask is that when I try to use my computer for playback it seems static and a bit slow. Im sure this has something to do with my sound card/latency/etc..So again, Im not wanting to record, just to be able to mix what I have already done and then export it to MP3.

Thanks!

PS How do I print an effect on a track? :-)

well your kinda bumbing out because your computer was using the asio driver from the vs 20 as drivers so you wouldnt have latency, exc.my opinion is you might get away with changing your driver setting to mme and use you windows soundcard(computers card)to just mix these tracks,it should do it becuase your not recording anything extra right?
if this fails try to download asio4all(google it)its a free asio driver that alot of people use before upgrading there soundcards to an audi interface, just read the 4-5 page manual first so you know haow to use it,it can benifit you and you may even be able to plug a guitar in and record using it,problem is the vs20 has all the sounds for distortion and so on.so go look for a freeware guitar vst like camel and have fun and ask for your vs 20 back, pay for shiping anything...dude.id be bumbed out.
