Old Project - Redux

Several years ago I completed a project in an old version of Cubase. I never liked the way my songs sounded, so I dropped the wav files in Sonar Producer 8.5 (recently upgraded to X1 though), and I have to say I am very well pleased with the results. You can check out my songs here: http://soundcloud.com/saltpanic Let me know what you think. I spent a lot of time on remixing and remastering these, and I hope the results are pleasing. Jason

Propoganda sounds good.  You did a good job droppin' em in!  Drums could be a little more present.  They are important in this.  IMHO.  Sweet Forever has a nice sound to it.  That's all I could get to right now.  Sounds like you know what you're doing.

Thank you for the reply. Yes, the drums were done in an old version of Fruity Loops. They were rendered as a wav file and I could not mix them individually. In some of the songs the bass drum was too prominent, so I had to turn them down. EQ fixed a little of that, but then too much and they sounded too thin. Thanks for listening!

I only listened to the first song, but other than being short, nothing stood out in a bad way.  It was well mixed, and it left me wanting more.  I'll listen to other later when I have more time.

    All the best,
