Auto-Tune, 32-bit, and 64-bit Sonar

I'm having a long and so far unsuccessful struggle trying to use both Antares Auto-Tune 7 (aka Auto-Tune + Time) and Sonar X1 64-bit. Apparently it's an issue known to both Sonar and Antares that you can only run Antares Auto-Tune + Time with the 32-bit version of Sonar X1.

So far, my solution has been to use the 32-bit version of Sonar even though I have a 64-bit OS. What I'm wondering is this: can anyone tell me what I'm missing by not being able to use the 64-bit version? Is it worth switching to another pitch-and-time-correcting program, like Melodyne, so that I can use the 64-bit version? Is it more stable? Faster? More features?

Thanks a bunch,

Have you tried V-Vocal ? I had never used any kind of pitch correction software before but just recently fixed a client's flat note in a vocal track and was quite impressed with how well it worked.

Antares is still 32bit, HOWEVER, prior to X1D, Auto-tune Evo works fairly well IF you are using jbridge. Worth the $20 in my opinion. Anatare Auto tune 7 is not ready for primtime, no updates or customer support they are worthless and unhelpful. I know because I upgraded over a year ago to AT7 assuming 64bit was a go and stability was a given. NO and NO. That being said, with Evo and jBridge and any sonar up through X1c will process Evo with wonderful results. With the exception of the graphical user interface glitching out when resizing and vanishing graphics. occasionally having to close the Evo window and re-open. Melodyne is 64 bit but as of X1D won't fast bounce, or bounce to clip. Great for polyphonic material though!

I have Autotune EFX and it works OK with Sonar 64 bit.  I got an ad for a reduced price to upgrade to AT 7.  I bought it and could not get it to work.  I posted on the Antares Autotune forum and as it turns out others are having the same problem.  Antares support told me to install Sonar 32 bit and it would work.  That was the final straw, I pressured them into giving me a refund.

From what I hear, it looks like a 64 bit version is in the works, but I don't know when.

I use 32bit Avox Evo components in 64bit SONAR with no problems.

Looking forward to 64bit none the less.

Antares has been saying they were working on 64 bit for over a year now. (Actually they've been working on auto tuning phone apps and guitars with auto tune built in while the rest of us pay one guy $20 to bridge their plugin over cause they're too lazy to prioritize.) On a positive note, I'm so happy about my WAVES plug-ins being 64 bit now. :) They sound better!!

As have been IK. To their credit some have become 64bit.

To their discredit, the 'worldwide leader or standard in vocal processing tools' has not updated EVO or AT7 VSTs in over a year and neither of them are 64 bit. Not to mention AT7 being basically unusable due to massive instability. Look at the Antares Forum to see the discontentment there. Horrible customer support! BTW-- bapu have you tried fastbouncing a clip with Antares since X1D has destroyed the timecode plugin fastbounce? I used EVO all the time via jbridge.

Avox Evo here with jBridge. No probs.

    I don't use Cakewalk's Bitbridge at all.
Although with Presonus studio One v2 being so closely tied to Melodyne I now use that for any pitch and timing correction or iZotope's Nectar
