A serious X1 question. Envelope problem.
I have a project that displays the message, under 'Edit', "Undo Create Envelope" and an asterisk appears next to the name in the very tippy top of the X1 window. This happens when I first open the project without making any changes, every time. Any idea what would make this happen in this one project? All others are fine, even other one's with envelopes. Bub.

Mouse or keyboard problems? (batteries still strong?) I say that because I have a cordless mouse that caused some things like that when the battery was getting low on power. I know you say it is just this one proj., so that might not be anything for you to look at.

you have something creating an envelope (a plug?) on opening/load, though i'm disappointed you only got 12 hours before someone caved

@pwal: Even if there is something creating an envelope, it should not alter my project to a new state upon opening the project before clicking play I wouldn't think. Or ever for that matter, otherwise every project with an envelope would do that. It only has gain envelopes, there is no automation on any other controls. I'm not using a wireless mouse or keyboard so we can rule out the battery thing. I'm at a loss with this. I'm wondering if this is tied in somehow with the envelope bug that was reported to be fixed with the D patch?

While it doesn't necessarily seem to make sense, at least not from a "typical project" perspective, pwal's deduction aligns with what the undo buffer is displaying. Sounds like a good project to send in to the bakers so they can troubleshoot.

Do you have audiosnap active on any tracks? I've noticed that for undo purposes, enabling audiosnap is listed as "create envelope" so an active audiosnap track will create transients when opening hence the undo history.

Hi FBB, No, I didn't use audio snap in this project, but that's an interesting find. Thanks, Bub.

Some plug-ins will cause this. I used to have an older version (than current) of BlueCat's Peak Meter Pro. If it was used on anything in a project and saved, whenever the project was next opened, there was something in it that it was changing before anything else was done, so would always ask if I wanted to save changes when I closed it... even though nothing was changed. I would bet it's a plug-in somewhere. Just start deleting, one by one, some of the latest ones you've added since you noticed this, and save under a new file name every time, until you find the one causing it.
