Yes, X1D broke the time based plugins bounce to clip and freeze track. I believe the work around is to do a real time bounce. It has affected me with Melodyne and Antares auto-tune.

Hmm, has this been confirmed by any CW folk yet?

I don't have either of those plugins, but I have plenty that either require slow bounce or just do better with a slow bounce, Melodyne being one of them. And I am at 8.5.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

Melodyne always worked fine for me with Fast Bounce, but it doesn't work since X1d.  You can freeze the track by unchecking fast bounce and checking the Audible options.

"You can freeze the track by unchecking fast bounce and checking the Audible options."

---i suppose this is a reasonable workaround. thanks for this.
i've been solo-ing the track and recording it as audio on another track.

Keep in mind there were (and are) a lot of plugins that seem not to be compatible with the "double precision/64ebit" Engine.  This is mostly true of 32bit plugins obviously but there definitely were issues with many pre-X1 days.

Try turning off the 64bit DP Engine when bouncing/freezing and see if that helps/works.

I'm curious how you know this -- have there been some CW responses on the forum somewhere?

    Thanks.

Customer support via emails... I've corresponded about Antares/Melodyne issues since it came out and have sent in project files... No big admission of fault, but they know that it works in 8.53 and also in X1 until D. Once you've made someone aware then you know they are aware of it.
