Kick me! (Composers Please)

... with your own bass drum art, theories, unique ideas, thoughts, techniques, etc.

Please share your struggles and/or suggest some (or many) thoughts on several levels (like arrangement, subliminal messages, invoking effects, purposes, bass drums, etc., etc.)

Even as a percussionist, my mind-games are numerous here.  But I realize a good bass-drum is a must, even the heart-beat, for every pop mix.

These 'drums' emit long wave-lengths (in short rooms), curious timbres, and a lot of low rumble under 50Hz.  They sound loud and soft on different monitors, speakers, and cans.

They may follow rhythm theories, heartbeats, majestic invokings, strong drive-momentum of your song, chorus enhancements, attention getting, and much more.

Again, please just share as little or as much as you'd like on your bass-drum art.  Feel free to re-post with new ideas as well.

Utmost thanks.
