Favorite solo Beatles songs?

excluding Imagine...

John - Watching the Wheels
Paul - Live and Let Die
George - What is Life
Ringo - It Don't Come Easy

In order, then, to discover the limit of deepest tones, it is necessary not only to produce very violent agitations in the air but to give these the form of simple pendular vibrations. - Hermann von Helmholtz, predicting the role of the electric bassist in 1877.

Wow, guys thanks for tis thread - forced me to check up Lennon's stuff on iTunes. I had no idea that they'd re-issued Double Fantasy in a "stripped down" version, with just the more basic arrangements.

I dug the album, but some of it sounded a bit dated and not in a pleasant way. These simpler version are much more interesting IMHO. A shame that the guy spent so much time burying his voice.

Actually, I think I've cracked it now...

One is a talented songwriter, arranger and virtuoso drummer, and the other used to be in The Beatles

Maybe not the best, but Steal and Glass is definitely a huge favorite. Really comes across as one of Lennon's most honest moments.
