Audio Track and Video Project

I have ZERO video experience in X1 and am looking for any advise.

I have an original I need to put video of Live shots to. I see that it needs to be AVI, MPEG or Quicktime files.  I have a few different regular cameras (Not video but take video) around and a few iPhones.

Im thinking I can use what I have to capture and download the files into X1 and sync the pics up to the sound.

Any and all advise is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

MIKE

Nope,  you are not going have much success syncing picture to sound in Sonar.  It works well the other way around,  Sonar will help you sync audio to your picture.

You will be much better off using a simple video editing program.  My favorite is Sony Vegas cause it looks and feels just like a typical audio program.  This is the cheapest version:

So create a stereo wav of your mix an open up a video program.

+1 for Vegas. Vegas is not the biggest name in video editing, but is, IMHO, a great place to start for audio editors because it handles it more like an audio application would. Vegas actually started off as a multi-track audio system and Video was added later. Despite being superior to others tandalone non-linear video editing apps when it comes to handling audio (premiere will not even save presets for audio plugins)), it has powerful video editing features suited or beginner or pro level.
