Inner Workings by Ascent

Hello Friends!
Here's the lastest song from my band Ascent, called Inner Workings.   Our new CD, Secrets of Flight, is finally finished and will be available everywhere (Amazon, iTunes, etc) very soon.   The whole CD was recorded in Sonar (mostly X1 Producer)

I wanted to do a full-band version of this song, and Christina (my wife, the singer) wanted to keep it very basic and acoustic.   Please have a listen and tell us what you think.

Nice song. I think you should do both. I find myself listening and there are moments when I think it could transition from acoustic to power with some big drums and then back to acoustic.

Hi Bruce.  I think it should be full bank version with just acoustic and voice in the first verse.  I don't hear this all the way as just acoustic.  Singing and playing is very nice.

I can hear this both ways.  No matter, the song is good.  I'm not too happy about the sound of the acoustic, however.  Without knowing the guitar, mic, or preamp it's hard to make a recommendation, but if it were me, I'd experiment a bit with the sound.  Still, this is a good recording.

    All the best,
