Ah, gotcha!
Yes I knew about the reverse function in SONAR, but I didn't think this was exactly that. My theory was, if you take a chord progression (say G D Em C) and reverse it, it'll end up as C Em D G so when you lay it on top of the original song... the chords won't align. But after listening to Danny's clip (thanks a bunch btw, Danny) it realized that's exactly what they did! So I did a little experiment here real quick, and found out exactly how they did it. They reversed the main piano line, then basically made cuts in between each chord change... and rearranged the reversed audio to make the chords align with the main line. Interesting!
