Exporting audio

Hi, I can't remember how to export audio from soft synths. I enter the midi data and then choose the audio track and the file exports but has no content. I remember fixing this a couple of times a couple of years ago but drawing a blank now. Thanks for help.

The way I do this, (and it's probably the long way round - knowing me!) Is to Ctrl A to select all the tracks, then keep clicking on the track you want to export until it is selected on it's own. I hope that makes sense.

If you just want to export one track, hold down CTRL and select the MIDI track AND the softsynth track. Then File-Export-Audio.

You are trying to export as a Audio file and not a MIDI file? As the boys are saying all you need to do is double check that either all or none of the tracks are selected. If only one track is highlighted and it is not the synth output track you will get nothing. Sonar always warns me that "no audio has been selected". If I want to export the whole mix as it is played back I use "select none" which seems to work the same as "select all".

Thanks. I would have had to wait until Monday to get tech.
