Scott: I don't think they were official dealers anyway...they state that in the fine print

Also, if they can sell at this price point, then why can't everyone else?
I've had nothing but good experiences with them....sounds like they know how to manage their overhead, imo

Retail is a slim margin business.  At cost means no retail markup.  Good for you but bad for the places RME depends upon for moving goods.  And there might have been shenanigans involveed, like selling "opened merchandise.

But think about it this way, how long would you stay employed if a competitor bid work at no profit?

I get your point......I've been a pro musician since the age of 15....kind of like me competing against weekend warriors who WILL play for free

My UCX was factory shrink wrapped...and every other item I've bought was brand spanking new...if there were "shenanigans" they would have been shut down a long time ago, I would think

they were official dealers at one point but not any longer due to MAP (minimum Advertised Price) violations.
several times they were selling below cost (when you include shipping to them plus credit card fees (3-4%)

this is called a loss leader nothing new about it.
i watched numerous companies try this approach and go down.

the idea is to get people to think they have the best price on everything and you stop looking elsewhere. then they raise prices back to where they should be..
add to that they have no support whatsoever and obviously cant at that price.
sometimes the best price is not..  everyone always say i dont need support until they do..

you know something aint right when everyones price is the same but them. good for you of course..
most dealers will offer better pricing if you email or call

my clients can attest to that :-)

And again you raise alot of good points.......however, I bought a Fender bass from them awhile ago...one of the pickups was DOA...I called and they promptly sent out another one....so I can attest that there is support at least as far as returns are concerned.
As far as tech support.....I wouldn't expect any
