    Hiya Catherine

So you can see your recorded track in track view and it does have a sign wave in the track?

Is it a Midi or Audio track you cant hear?

Are all routing set as far as the Track assigned to the Master out?

NOTHING on Mute and NOTHING Solo'd anywhere?

Also a little background on how your setup-Computer, Interface, speakers

    Welcome to the forum.
Press P on the computer keyboard to bring up the Preferences dialog.
Make sure that there is a valid output listed for Playback Device.
Make sure that each track has that valid output listed as their output.
Are you recording MIDI or audio?
What is your computer's operating system?
What is your sound card? (that should be the name of your Playback Device and Recording Device.)
