Changing friendly names does... what

Sonar X1c. I went into the Input Drivers under Devices and edited a friendly name from "ASIO Fireface Adat 1 (1)" to "ADAT 1 Left" but I don't see where this is supposed to show up in the program. In my tracks it says LftASFrA11 (and is referring to Left ASIO Fireface ADAT 1 which IS the same as the one I edited) for input and when I go to choose the input track I don't see the friendly name I edited. My Fireface 800 has the same exact abbreviation for Left ASIO Fireface Analog 1 (LftASFrA11), so it's making things very difficult. Please help.

Did you tick the use friendly names box? That's very odd. Mine is working perfectly.

    A side note...

Are you using asio4all drivers with an rme fireface?

Your probably not. But that's the first thing that popped into my head when I saw the naming convention Sonar used.

I never thought Sonars friendly names were very friendly.

After naming - tick the friendly names box - then save of course [I think]
I think if you change from ASIO to WDM etc, you have to rename again.
