Helpful tip for those using a Tranzport (or similar remote)
I suggest not leaving the remote lying on the floor next to, say, the drum set in the other room while you are editing or listening to the latest take or pondering what to do with the current takes. What MAY happen is a pet- say a dog- may decide that the Tranzport is just about the perfect place to lay its head.
The consequences of the pet laying its head on the remote is that the remote may become active and all kinds of interesting and worrisome things start happening to the DAW and editing session on progress: randomly rewinding, fast forwarding, skipping to the next or previous marker, or starting and stopping.
These unexpected and frightful events can make one fret over the stability of the system that has been prior to the remote-as-pillow been working perfectly.
