X1d to Expanded

This may be a silly question but is it possible to upgrade from X1d Producer to Expanded without reinstalling everything to apply the "d" patch after Expanded is installed?

Just curious.

Without checking it out I'd say that you would get the X1D Expanded update and apply that over the top of your current X1D to get the Expanded features

I think that expanded has to be applied on X1C and then patched to D using the expanded patch but I could be wrong. I posted on this elsewhere and was hoping for some sort of definitive answer from someone who has done it, or CW themselves.

I really hope they sort out the update patching soon. I can live with 3 or 4 different product versions but don't understand why you can't simply "Expand" at any stage rather than it has to be on the C patch, if I'm correct about that of course, but that's how I understand it ATM.

Here's what I learned: You can install Expanded over X1d Producer but it will revert to X1 Expanded, so after installing it you have to run the X1d Expanded Patch to bring it all up to date.

So if you have X1d Producer...
You would then install X1 Producer Expanded
And then install the Expanded X1d  Patch
