Karyn I've never been to a GC, but I've read posts by others that have... I've never read posts about people who've read posts about others that have been to a GC before. Until today that is. Do I win a prize?

I didn't go to today. I'm at GC instead. Not today, mind you, but in the past. In the future, I'll go to Sam Ash. That's due in part to the fact that the folks over there are much less obnoxious. It's also due to the fact that if you say the name really fast, it can sound like "Smash". Tomorrow, I might visit today. I try not to spend more time in the Now than is absolutely necessary. The Present seems to be happy with that arrangement, too. The kids at GC just want to know if I'm going to buy something this time. I'm not.

I am done with GC. They carry nothing I remotely desire. Their maximum discount is 15%, yeah I get that by now, it's advertised every weekend.

a new place opened which is conveniently just off the highway from my commute to and from work! GC is closer to where I live, but it's not "on the way" to anything like this one is. It's not a huge place, but they seem to have a lot of stuff packed into the small area they're in. and they have a lot of used and vintage equipment. http://www.musicgoround.com/

When to the local music store yesterday... Something tells me they'll be replacing the old "No Stairway to Heaven" sign w/ a "No Someone Like You" sometime soon.

I had a friend who was the manager of an organs and pianos shop for a few years and, when I would stop to visit, I'd always sneak onto a piano and play a particularily bad rendition of Elenor Rigsby as loudly as I could. Whenever he got a new salesperson they would always freak out and come running over to try and stop the racket - of course, I'd demand to see the manager right away. LOL!

Southwest Parkway? Hmmm. That is handy. If I end my day around River Oaks, that's how I come home. It looks like they may be a Godin dealer. They sure have a lot of them listed.
