I think that's the "looking down one's nose in a superior manner" smiley. If your name is 'John' or 'John T', one is automatically inserted at the end of every post you make.

I was headless once. The last screw worked itself loose and the stupid thing just slid right off. Right away, I felt 20% - 40% smarterer. Things were much quieter, too. The problem was that my hat didn't fit quite right anymore. So, reluctantly, I tried to find it. That turned out to be more difficult than I had expected. It turns out that all of those warnings I had been told growing up were surprisingly accurate. I would lose my head if it weren't screwed on. After awhile, I got tired of searching, so I just replaced it with a large mollusk. Besides the immediate cosmetic improvement, I also found it easier to understand co-workers. Alas, all good things must end. The CDC brought my head back back in a van with a huge Biohazard sign. They made me take it back. The head, I mean. I didn't get to keep the van. They had that destroyed. I was given a fine for littering. The mollusk never even writes anymore.
