This one has a really nice lower end to it. Sounds great in my studio. Really great vibe as it builds near the 3:00 mark, and then the relaxation of the tension is just great. Nice work as always my friends.

Shades of David Crosby "If I Could Only Remember My Name" BUT DIFFERENT!  Like Malcomb, it took me there and I was very relaxed.  Not as relaxed as then, probably!!  LOL!  This was different for you guys, I believe, and I enjoyed it immensely.

Hi, James and Larry,

Wow, I’m away from here for over a week, I come back and I’m greeted with another stunningly beautiful SMB jewel!

I absolutely loved every note of this from beginning to end.  It’s chock full of haunting melodies and interesting musical elements woven throughout the clean, warm sounding mix.  I really like the synth intro with the vocal melody and piano, the shimmering clean guitars on top of the smooth percussion, and the rich tone of the melodic guitar solos.

Absolutely wonderful work, guys, another top-notch production!

Thanks Steve, we love doing counter melodies, glad you liked 'em too.

Hi Joni, thanks a lot, the synth is Alchemy, patch is Dream Voices.

James, many thanks, and as always your ears are correct ...done a lot of work trying to sort out the low-mids, obviously still more to do.

Thanks Frank!

Double-dipping is hereby permitted Kenny...

Thanks Randy, that's good to know. With bass, bodhran and piano all fighting for space, I was having a struggle. Glad you like it.

Hi Warren, thanks very much! Don't know that song, but I'll check it out now. It came about a little differently, more spontaneous, less planned maybe.

Bob, I always look forward to getting a listen from you. The comments you make never fail to make my day - thanks!

I like this, as some have said got movie written all over it. I'm probably not the best person to comment on mixes, given the state of some of mine but I thought the bass was a bit overpowering in places. It seemed to be ringing out in places on my system. that could easily be my system rather than your mix though.

a little different sounding for you at the start, almost sounds like a Distant Towers tune, i think it's the lack of acoustic guitarings, love how it builds up and then fades away, there's plenty going on in the mix but it doesn't get overpowering at all...cool as ever!

James: great job on this. Yo yo and me must be separated at birth...everything he says I seem to agree with these days. LOL! A little low mid congestion, but nothing that distracted me. Very atmospheric, calming and I'd agree with all the other words that have described this in the thread. I enjoyed it man...really well done. :)

Love it James.  The usual melancholy melody with hooks at the changes that tugs at one's soul.  Guitar should come up a bit.  Some blooming in the lows - around 300 maybe?

Thanks Mark, yes we thought it was a little different too, hopefully in a good way.

Danny - many thanks sir, so glad you enjoyed it. I'll have to work out where to lose some of that build-up in the low-mids.

Thanks Mark, soul-tugging is what we strive for

James/Larry,
Very cool tune.  I like the use of the female synth patch, it really works well in this arrangement.  I dig James's guitar work as usual.  Guess I'll have to dig up another tune to get my fix for Larry's acoustic work.  Great stuff guys!
