There are a lot of issues with it if you use the functions that are affected. Or should I say, effected. ;)

I'd like to chime in here too and hit vaguely at non-specific issues that I may or may not be having, without actually describing them. I think a general air of ill-informed worry and misinformation is what we need in this thread, and I'm as keen to contribute as anyone else.

What people need to understand is that a battle between good and evil constantly rages at Cakewalk HQ. And while the staff we see on these boards are doing their best, in the basement, their evil counterparts, such as Random Bryan, and Sith Perlstien, often escape from their chains and sneak around the code, deliberately adding bugs and making things worse. X1d does work okay, but only if you bury a chicken's head underneath your PC during a full moon before installing it.

Well, now that you mention it, I am assuming the OP is referring to threads that have been started and responded to by numerous people here on the forums regarding X1D's shortcomings. He my have heard this from other sources as well as the ones documented here on the forum.

    My apologies.

I don't think X1D created many (if any) NEW issues. It actually solved a number of problems. The problems you WILL find, have been around for quite some time. The X1D patch was great, highly recommended, but SONAR X1D as a product still needs some work.

There's been several new reported issues since X1D was released. Just read the last few pages of the X1 forum, they're all there. There's a few still on the first page.

As typical of a Cakewalk patch release, it fixed a lot of things, and broke a few.

What we should be asking now is, what are Cakewalks intentions at this point, correct the problems they have been creating with an E patch, or turn X1 in to a legacy product by releasing X2?

Apparently you can't read thoroughly. Look below this thread title at all the others and see all the problems people are reporting with X1D.

I have not seen any new issues with it here...and...it seems to have fixed a fair number of other issues I've had.

Staying vague, but getting more forceful with it. This is a classic in the making.
